A wedding-- from the inside out!

Just about this time last year we got a whole new perspective on the wedding business! Our son-in-law, David, asked our daughter, Laura, to marry him.  So we learned what it's like to plan a wedding from the "other" side. We would love to share with  of you ( who might be getting a ring and about to plan a wedding) some of what we learned!
First we learned that Athens is a great place to get married because there are so many wonderful professionals to help you.
We are members of the Athens Wedding Professionals organization and so we know some exceptional folks in Athens in the wedding business. We'd love to introduce you to many of them, but we strongly encourage you to attend the Bridal show in January to meet these amazing people.
One of the folks who just knocked our socks off is Russ Feltman from Image Studios. We wanted to share with you the 4 minute montage of Laura and David's wedding so you can get just a taste of what Russ can do.
So here's the link:

So, you also need to know that Charlie at Barron's Rental and Lee at Epting Events worked hand in hand on this wedding-- they are two of the  (um, er, uh-- how should I say) "old guys" in the wedding business in Athens, so they really know what they are doing.
Soo-- visit The Athens Wedding Professional website and check out all the amazing folks who can help you plan the perfect wedding day! Athens is a great place to get married!

Great Service- A Blessing

Faithful, steady, dependable, knowledgable, versitile and helpful.

Wouldn't you like these words to describe you? How about someone you work with? How about someone who's available to help you?

Well, these words describe Jeffery Buffington, our showroom manager at Barron's Rental Center. He is someone we are really thankful for at Barron's, and we think if you came to Barron's or even called on the phone-- you'd be thankful for him too!

Jeffery - meet him at the counter!

Jeffery was born and raised right here in Athens, GA. He still cheers for his Alma Mater, Cedar Shoals, even though some of his fellow workers went to "the other" school. He is married to his lovely wife, Audrey, and  has three daughters and two granddaughters. Jeffery says he is "surrounded by females" which is probably why he handles chair covers, sashes, candelabra and table settings so well. He knows how to work with ladies ! When he is not at Barron's or at home with his family, you're likely to find Jeffery at Huff Grove Baptist Church. He is a Baptist minister and loves the Lord. Jeffery feels that serving his customers at Barron's is just another way he gets to serve His Lord.

You can be sure that this man has the exprience and knowledge to help you with whatever you need when you walk in the door at Barrons. He worked for Epting Events for seven and half years before coming to Barron's, but he has been at Barron's for 15 years. So whether you're sanding floors, working on sheet rock or planning a wedding ceremony-- Jeffery knows how to help you, and he will help you will a smile on his face and love in his heart!

So as we continue to celebrate this month of thanksgiving, know that we at Barron's Rental Center are really thankful for Mr. Jeffery Buffington, and we think as you get to know him, you'll be thankful too!
Just what you need for a beautiful ceremony!
Jeffery makes sure the table setting is just right!

Time to be Thankful

A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all the other virtues.  ~Cicero

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.  ~John Fitzgerald Kennedy

At Barron's we are truly grateful and thankful for so many different things. Here's just the beginning of a month-long focus on the blessings we have at Barrons Rental Center!

Charlie Barron, Sr. driving his 1928 Model A
1. We are really thankful for Charlie Barron, Sr. who started Barron's more than 45 years ago-- what a smart, visionary man!

2. We are thankful for white wooden chairs--- people still want and need them in a bad economy!

3. Oh how thankful we are for sororities and fraternities ( and especially their mothers), UGA football, tailgaters, and many departments at UGA who so faithfully call us to help them with their events.

4. We are so thankful that folks fall in love and want to get married--- under tents with tables, chairs and linens!!  We also thankful they stay married and want to celebrate their anniversaries.
Father of the Bride lights, chivari chairs, pole tent!

5. We are thankful for all the awesome caterers in Athens! (There are so many  I'll have to blog about delicious Athens food another day.) For now-- we are so grateful we have warehouse space, so we can provide them with what they need!

6. We are very grateful for OUR CUSTOMERS who are patient with us, come back again and again and who say nice things about us even when we are far from perfect!

7. We are thankful that people sand floors, strip tile, unclogs pipes and plant gardens and  that they allow us to provide equipment and advice to get their jobs done!

Since 7 is the number of perfection, I'll stop there, but we'll be talking about what we're thankful for at Barron's this month, so the list will grow.

I'm sure you're grateful for many things too.
What would they be if you listed a few???

Peek Inside

So, "they" say that everyone needs a blog. So--- here goes Barron's rental attempting a blog. What we're hoping is that you can peek inside our business and see that you want to use Barron's Rental Center for your wedding, rehearsal dinner, tailgate, company party, or backyard bbq. We hope we can share with you other vendors who might make you life easier too! Maybe we can even give you some good, creative ideas.

The most important thing about Barron's is the people who work there-- they are the ones who give you great service, take care of equipment, set up your party, or help you plan. So the first few blogs most likely will be an attempt at helping you get to know the people that make Barrons a really great place.

Here's Andy. He has been with Barron's for over 20 years. He is a funny, smart guy who knows just about whatever you need to know to do whatever you need to do with success. Andy is an Athens native who will give you a 150% effort when helping you with an event.
Andy isn't really around the showroom much-- he's out with his team setting up and taking down tents all over Athens and surrounding areas. He can tell you how big your tent needs to be, how much electricity you need, what lighting will work, and how many tables will work under that tent. He can get you just the right stage and a perfect dance floor.
Really, I'm not kidding-- Andy can help you with anything from the chocolate fountain to a jack hammer. If you see this guy getting out of one of our trucks-- you know you are in good hands and you can trust him to give you expert service and help!
Andy is the General Manager at Barron's Rental Center and even though he really likes to spend his time on the lake, he spends much of his time creating incredible events all over the Athens area. Thanks Andy -- for all you do!
